Trial result search has new options!

There are now more options when using trial result search!

• If sport has been selected, it is possible to search for results only at certain levels/classes and also according to marks achieved. Under the marks selection, there is also option "other", which means the trial was not completed (disqualification, withdrawal etc).
• There is now an autocomplete function working in fields Dog's name, Handler and Judge, which means, that if at least 2 characters have been inserted, the database starts to offer possible names.
• It is possible to sort the results table according to all the columns, using the link at the column's heading. By default the results are sorted according to trial date descending. For example - when sorting according to points, it allows to see the maximal points achieved in some certain sport/level etc :).

Trial calendar:

• Possibility to filter the list of events according to dogsport disciplines. Once the sport has been selected, it is possible to narrow the selection again also to only trials or only competitions. Example: Agility competitions 2013.
• Link older, that shows the links to trials and competitions before year 2003.
• There are now links to summarized agility results. See more under next section.

Trial view:

• There is now an extra view to show the summarized agility results. As in some of the agility competitions (international competitions and Estonian Championships) the ranking is actually established from the summarized results from 2 individual courses, there is now a possibility to see the summary. Example: Estonian Championships in Agility 2012
• The results from agility competitions now include also the nicknames of the participating dogs.

What kind of blog is this?

This blog is about happenings in database of Estonian Dogsports Trial Results - news, changes, updates and sometimes longer explanations about their background. Of course I am always happy to receive feedback from the users - what you like and what you don't like and what could be done better :). The above linked database contains the results from all official dogsport trials and competitions in Estonia since year 2003. There are also some results from the years 1993-2002, but these are not complete, as during this time it was not mandatory to present the results to Estonian Kennel Union's office. I am grateful to people, who have provided some older results for me to enter (Vilve Roosioks, Kaidi Juurik, Veiko Väljas) and I hope there will be more and the database can become even more complete.

The web page has now 3 main views - Trial calendar, Trial Result Search and list of Estonian Kennel Union's Certified Trainers and Judges. From there is is possible to navigate to the individual dogs, trials or persons pages.
